JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – An engineer who has spent 25 years with the Missouri Department of Transportation has been picked to be the agency's director.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission said Thursday that Kevin Keith will lead the agency. Keith has been the interim director since this spring, when former director Pete Rahn resigned to take a job with a Kansas City-based engineering company.
Keith has been the transportation department's chief engineer, planning director and a district engineer.
Commission Chairman Rudy Farber said in a statement that Keith has received national praise for his work with Missouri transportation.
