JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Amtrak is adjusting the schedule of its morning trains across Missouri beginning Nov. 8.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says east- and westbound morning trains will be leaving 45 minutes later, to reduce travel times for passengers connecting to national Amtrak routes.
The eastbound Missouri River Runner now leaves Kansas City at 7:30 a.m. That will change Nov. 8 to 8:15 a.m.
From St. Louis, the westbound 8:30 a.m. train will leave instead at 9:15 a.m.
Evening routes between the two cities won't be affected.
