Centreville, Ill. – Charges are expected Thursday in the shooting death of a Metro East police officer.
The Major Case Squad says two "persons of interest" are in custody.
Centreville police Lt. Greg Jonas was shot once in the back of the head early Tuesday while patrolling a public housing complex.
Residents say gunfire is frequent there.
