Arcadia, Mo. – Searchers are on their third day of scouring rugged terrain to find a 3-year-old whose family said he wandered away from home.
Joshua Childers disappeared around 11:30 a.m. Monday from his family's mobile home near Arcadia, Mo., which is about 90 miles south of St. Louis.
Police said Joshua's dad works nights and was asleep at the time, and the boy's mother was on the telephone.
Hundreds of volunteers have walked the wooded land around his home since his disappearance. Officials also searched three nearby ponds.
The best clue came Monday evening when a searcher found a tennis
shoe the boy had been wearing.
