Columbia, Ill. – Authorities said they have no suspects in custody in the killings of a Metro East woman and her two children.
Sheri Coleman, 31, and her sons Garrett, 11, and 9-year-old Gavin, were found dead Tuesday morning at their home in Columbia, Ill.
Authorities said Chris Coleman returned home early Tuesday and discovered the bodies of his wife and their children.
Major Case Squad Deputy Commander Jeff Connor said police had previous contact with Sheri and Chris Coleman related to an "unknown individual." Police also say they questioned neighbors in the past week about suspicious activity at the family's home.
Neighbors in the subdivision say the Coleman family received threatening letters and their mailbox was tampered with in the past week. Police are asking the public for any tips.
