St. Louis – Anheuser-Busch is ending its sponsorship as the official beer of the National Hot Rod Association.
The St. Louis-based division of Anheuser-Busch InBev also announced yesterday that it will end its 30-year relationship with Kenny Bernstein Racing's NHRA team.
The brewery said it was the longest such relationship in motorsports history, eclipsing STP's 28-year sponsorship of NASCAR's Richard Petty.
Dan McHugh, the brewer's vice president of media sponsorship, said Anheuser-Busch is still a major sports sponsor. But he said it is looking at different ways to reach a new generation of consumers.
