St. Louis, MO – Anheuser-Busch is giving the University of Missouri-St. Louis $2.5 million for its new College of Business Administration building.
University officials say the project -- which is just getting off the ground -- will cost between $25-30 million. Anheuser-Busch President David Peacock says the company remains committed to supporting local institutions, particularly those that deal with education, economic development and the environment.
"This fits very well within that strategy and we are investing in the leaders of tomorrow and the colleagues of tomorrow and so for us it's important. And I think people can expect Anheuser-Busch to continue to be involved in the community and maintain its presence here."
As a result of the gift, the building will be named after the beer brewer. Anheuser-Busch and its foundation have funded a number of university projects, including the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center in 2000.
