Kansas City – It may be impossible to find a popular tax, and in the unpopularity contest among many forms of taxation, people very often complain about the earnings taxes in St. Louis and Kansas City.
The two major Republican candidates for Missouri governor may have their strongest disagreement on whether the state should continue to allow the taxes. But because only the state's two big cities have them, the issue has received very little attention in debates between Congressman Kenny Hulshof and state treasurer Sarah Steelman.
