Branson, Mo. – Officials at Silver Dollar City in Branson say three people were injured Sunday afternoon when high winds knocked part of a tree onto a shuttle at the theme park.
Thunderstorms caused many park patrons to leave or seek shelter.
A shuttle taking people back to their cars about 5 p.m. passed a line of trees, and park spokeswoman Lisa Rau said a 20-foot-long section of a tree fell onto the trolley.
A 36-year-old pregnant woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance. An 8-year-old girl and her mother also were injured.
The trolley, although damaged, was still able to move.
