O'Fallon, Ill. – A 13-year-old boy was killed Sunday when he was struck by a freight train in the Metro East.
Authorities say it happened just before 3 p.m. near O'Fallon, Ill.
St. Clair County Coroner Rick Stone said Jonathan Sory likely jumped in front of the train. It dragged the boy nearly 200 feet down the tracks. Police are still investigating.
Jonathan was from Lebanon, Ill.
