No injuries after airplane bellyflop in Chesterfield

By AP/KWMU

Chesterfield, Mo. – An investigation is under way after a small plane landed at Spirit of St. Louis Airport Chesterfield without its landing gear down.

Three people were on board, but nobody was hurt. However the plane sustained minor damage.

It's not clear if there was a malfunction in the landing gear, or if the pilot just forgot to put it down.
