St. Louis, MO – The University of Missouri's interim president told the board of curators today that he enjoyed his brief term but that the system is in good hands with Gary Forsee.

This was the final board meeting that Gordon Lamb would attend as the university system's president, though he will remain in the position for another two weeks until Forsee takes over. Lamb told curators that Forsee was a solid choice as the new president.

"I've worked with him somewhat as we've talked about some of the issues, the challenges and the opportunities and I know that he has a vision for this university that I think is going to be extraordinary. We have the people set up to make that vision work and we are dedicated to work with him to see that come through."

Lamb has served as interim president of the University of Missouri since Elson Floyd left for Washington State University last April.
