St. Louis – One man died and two others were injured in an accident that shutdown a portion of Interstate 70 in the St. Louis area for several hours early Friday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Marino of St. Peters died when a tractor-trailer overturned and fell on top of his pickup truck.

Aaron Vincenz of Columbia has been hospitalized with serious injuries. Brian Vincenz of Maryland Heights suffered moderate injuries.

The crash happened just after 3 a.m. The tractor-trailer was delivering medicine to Walgreen's pharmacy and the crash caused controlled substances to scatter over the interstate.

Officials had to call in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to take control of the drugs.
