Chesterfield, Ill. – Illinois State Police say the case of a teenager who was killed by a hunting arrow appears to be an accident.
Police say 17-year-old Trevor Farmer died Tuesday at a Carlinville hospital after being injured at his home near Chesterfield, Illinois, in Macoupin County.
Investigators say a man at the home was examining the bow and arrow. He drew back the bow partially, but he let go, and the arrow hit Trevor in the chest.
Police will turn their findings over to prosecutors.
