Health experts discuss lessons of 1918 flu

St. Louis – The 1918 Influenza pandemic killed an estimated 600,000 people in the United States.

Recently, economists and public health officials gathered in St. Louis to discuss ways to mitigate the affects of another pandemic, should one occur.

KWMU's science reporter Julie Bierach spoke with Professor William Stanhope, Associate Director for Special Projects for the Institute for Biosecurity at St. Louis University's School of Public Health.
