Belleville, Ill. – Prosecutors say they plan no criminal charges against a woman whose car slammed through an elementary school cafeteria, killing an 8-year-old boy.

Gracie Keim pleaded guilty to a traffic citation, agreeing to a $500 fine and the loss of her driver's license.

Keim was not scheduled to appear in court until September 25.

But she acknowledged in court Thursday that she failed to reduce speed on January 29th before she plowed through the school in the St. Louis suburb of Shiloh.

Second-grader Ryan Wesling was killed and two other students were injured.

Prosecutors have called the accident unintentional with no evidence the woman acted recklessly.

Ryan's family has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Keim.
