Springfield – Springfield, Illinois and Missouri are up against a dozen other Springfields to host the new "Simpsons" movie when it premieres later this month.
Each city has made a video that proclaims why it should host the premiere, and the competition is tough.
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is in the four-minute video for Springfield, Ore.

Hawk's Springfield connection in real life and on television, dates to 2003, when he battled Homer Simpson for skateboarding supremacy in an episode of "The Simpsons."
Springfield, Massachusetts has the largest population among the competitors (pop. 152,000), followed closely by Springfield, Missouri (pop. 151,000) and then Illinois (pop. 111,000).
The winning Springfield will host the movie's national premiere in late July, with 500 people getting free tickets.
Springfield, Illinois points out that it has a power plant, just like where Homer Simpson works in the show. It also has a donut factory.
Springfield, Missouri's video mocks the competition by jokingly rejecting the idea of hosting the premiere.
