St. Louis, MO – A long-time top aide in St. Louis County government is leaving.
Today (Friday) is Jim Baker's last day as the county's director of administration, though he will stay a few more weeks to help transition.
Baker has served 28 years, under County Executives Buzz Westfall and Charlie Dooley.
Baker told KWMU's Tom Weber that while one challenge remains coordination between the county's 91 municipalities, another is to keep reminding the state how important the county is.
