St. Louis, MO – People who want to run for their local school board or who want to run for city council in a number of municipalities in Missouri can start filing this morning.
The election will be next April 3rd.
One of the most-watched school board races is expected to be in St. Louis City, where the seats currently held by Bob Archibald and Ron Jackson will be on the ballot. The first two people in line at the Election Board to sign up this morning (Tuesday) were Katherine Wessling and David Jackson, Jr.
Recent turmoil has sparked debate over whether the state should take over the district.
Other races will be on ballots, too, including city council and mayoral races in a number of municipalities.
