St. Louis, MO. – Many people in St. Louis' Bosnian community say they're disappointed former Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic died before his war crimes trial concluded in The Netherlands.
Milosevic's trial dragged on for four years until he died Saturday. The official cause was a heart attack, but many of his supporters suspect foul play.
Sukrija Dzidzovic publishes Sabah, a Bosnian language newspaper based in St. Louis. Dzidzovic says even though Milosevic was never found guilty, there's no doubt how he'll be remembered in the history books.
"Even if the world is slow, but is honest, they would remember him as a butcher," Dzidzovic said.
Dzidzovic says with Milosevic's death, it's even more important that other alleged war criminals be brought to justice.
