St. Louis, MO – The founder of St. Louis-based Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Jack Taylor, is giving $200,000 to a group trying to convert a bridge to pedestrian use.

Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon is suing Governor Matt Blunt's Department of Natural Resources over the railroad bridge at Boonville. DNR wants to sell it back to Union Pacific, but Nixon says that would threaten the nearby Katy Trail.

The Save the Katy Bridge Coalition is trying to raise $1 million to make the bridge a part of the trail without using tax money. The group now has $365,000 of that with Taylor's donation.
