Jefferson City, MO – Former Missouri Governor John Ashcroft's chief of staff says he's considering a run for governor.
Edwards "Chip" Robertson says he might challenge GOP Governor Matt Blunt in 2008.
Robertson is also a Republican; a lawyer from Jefferson City who served as Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court from 1991-1993.
At this point, though, he's only saying he's considering a run; he's not saying why he would want to unseat a governor of his own party.
