Jefferson City, MO – The new company in charge of getting Missouri Medicaid patients to and from doctors' appointments hit a number of snags on its first business day Monday.
But the company Logisticare Solutions insists it's working through them.
A company spokesman says some people missed or had delayed trips, but adds that's to be expected with a new company taking over as subcontractors adjust to new patients.
The Georgia-based company out-bid a Missouri company that had the job since 1997.
Logisticare started handling the trips Saturday, and things went smoothly. But the demand was greater on Monday, the first full business day.
