New sex abuse allegations against former Vianney teacher

By AP/KWMU

Pueblo, Col. – There are new allegations of sexual abuse against a Catholic school teacher who once worked in the St. Louis area.

Lawsuits filed by five men today in Pueblo, Colorado, allege they were molested three decades ago by William Mueller while they were students at Roncalli High School in Pueblo. Mueller was once band director at the school.

The lawsuits bring to eight the number of claims against the
Diocese of Pueblo and The Marianist Province of the United States alleging that Mueller sexually abused students.

Mueller also is the subject of a lawsuit filed in September in St. Louis. Bryan Bacon says Mueller blindfolded him, held a knife to his throat and simulated intercourse in 1985 when Bacon was a sophomore at Vianney High School in Kirkwood. Mueller worked at Vianney at the time.
