Missouri judges have a new tool in making sentencing decisions.
It's a reporting system that gives detailed information about an offender's history and their likelihood to commit crimes in the future.
With concerns about overcrowded prisons, officials say the reports will help judges strike a balance between public safety and fiscal prudence.
