St. Ann, MO – Cars that used to be owned by the St. Ann Police Department have been used in illegal activities for the second time in a month.
Authorities say an old St. Ann Police car that was traded in to be auctioned was used last weekend in Bentonville, Arkansas, to lure a woman who was then raped and robbed.
That comes after police in St. Charles County pulled over a drunken driver who was in a St. Ann police car that had all its decals and lights.
St. Ann Police say the cars were among 22 traded to a Kansas City, Kansas, company that was supposed to strip them of police signatures and lights before selling them at a public auction.
