Illinois lawmakers could finish their spring session in the next week.
But there's so far been little movement on how to best protect the retirement of the state's many public workers.
The state keeps falling behind in its payments to its five pension systems.
But many fear the problem will only get worse because there's so much attention instead on the state's current budget deficit.
