St. Louis, MO – School officials in East St. Louis say they will appeal a recent ruling that requires the district to repay almost $6.5 million.
That's the money the federal government spent linking East St. Louis schools to the Internet, under a program called E-Rate.
The district was ordered to return the cash because it failed to have signed contracts in place with vendors who installed phone lines, routers, and other equipment.
