St. Louis, MO – People can see more than a hundred adoptable dogs today that were taken from a suspected puppy mill in Douglas County, Mo.
The dogs will be at the Humane Society's headquarters near the Science Center (1201 Macklind).
People can't take any dogs home today; they can only start applying to adopt them.
There are a number of pure-bred dogs, including Great Pyrences, Mastiffs, St. Bernards, Shelties, Basset Hounds, and Collies, along with mixed breeds.
The Humane Society says the dogs are healthy, but they haven't been kept in good conditions, which is why potential owners will have to learn how to introduce such a pet to a new home.
The Humane Society Preview will run Tuesday, from Noon - 7:00 p.m.
