New York, NY – This week's cover of "Newsweek" includes Illinois' newest U-S Senator, Barack Obama.
It's part of the magazine's "Who's Next" issue of people predicted to make news next year.
The magazine also seems to think Obama is on a short list to run for Vice President in 2008. Obama has not yet been sworn in as a U.S. Senator.
He easily won election to the Senate last month over Republican Alan Keyes.
The publication also says Obama can work with Republicans to help bridge the GOP and Democrats. In an interview, Obama says he wants to the party to reconnect with its moral tradition, pointing out that most reform movements have been grounded in religious models.
