Skidmore, MO – A sheriff's department in northwest Missouri issued an Amber Alert early Friday morning for a fetus that police believe could still be alive.
A 23-year old woman was found murdered in Skidmore, Missouri Thursday. She was 8 months pregnant, and her fetus had been cut from her womb.
The Nodaway County Sheriff's Department isn't whether they're looking for a man or a woman, but he or she may be blond and driving a red car. Sheriff Bill Espey says the young mother, Bobbi Jo Stinnett, apparently was strangled.
Skidmore is a town of about 500 people, located about 45 miles northwest of St. Joseph.
