Police Investigate Two Drive-By Shootings in City

St. Louis – St. Louis police are investigating two overnight drive-by shootings.

Officers say the shootings were not related. A teenager was killed and five people were injured. No arrests have been made.

The first happened at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the city's south side when at least two men in a sports utility vehicle opened fire on a group standing on a street corner.

One person was shot in the head, one was hit in the leg and one in the ankle. The injuries are not life-threatening.

The second shooting happened early Friday on the north side. A car and a van drove by a group of young people. One man got out of the car and chased the group, shooting as he ran.

Killed in the shooting was 16-year-old Allen Michael Love. Two others were injured, one seriously.
