St. Louis, MO – A Kentucky company called Columbia Sussex made the highest bid Thursday in an auction of the President Casino.
Columbia Sussex, of Fort Mitchell, Ky. (near Cincinnati), bid $57 million for the downtown St. Louis facility.
A bankruptcy court and the Missouri Gaming Commission will have to approve the deal.
Two other companies had expressed interest in the President, including Pinnacle Entertainment. Pinnacle recently got the okay to build a second downtown casino.
