Panel Gets Look at Plans for Land Near Airport

By KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Officials are reviewing five different plans for how to redevelop 600 acres near Lambert Airport.

The city of St. Louis bought the land to follow federal noise restrictions.

The so-called Airport Area Redevelopment Commission is now trying to find the best use for the land.

It's expected to include small office buildings and some light industrial offices on it.

The project is expected to create about 12,000 jobs and create $320 million in tax revenue.
