Edwardsville, Ill. – About 1,200 people who work at SIU-Edwardsville will get 3% pay raises, retroactive to July 1.
The university's board of trustees approved $1.5 million in salary hikes as part of a budget for the two-campus system passed Thursday.
The raises are for non-union faculty and staff.
The budget also includes $800,000 for a pharmacy school in Edwardsville.
Officials also said Thursday there are fewer freshmen on the Edwardsville campus this fall, but overall enrollment is still up.
