By AP/KWMU

Ameren says Dynegy Incorporated, the Citizens Utility Board and the Illinois Attorney General's Office have settled all of the issues raised by the proposed purchase.

The Illinois Commerce Commission and the federal Securities and Exchange Commission still must approve the deal. But an Ameren spokeswoman says Ameren hopes to close the deal by the end of the year.

Illinois Power has about 600,000 electric and 415,000 natural gas customers. Ameren serves about 1.7 million electric customers and 500,000 natural customers in Missouri and Illinois.
