St. Louis – The future home field of the St. Louis Cardinals will again be called Busch Stadium.

Wednesday, Anheuser-Busch announced it has extended its exclusive marketing agreement with the Cardinals for another 20 years.

The deal will make the Cardinals the only major league baseball franchise based in its original city to play in three stadiums bearing the same name.

Tony Ponturo is vice-president of global media and sports marketing for Anheuser-Busch.

"We are very proud of our St. Louis roots, and we are very proud of our relationship with the world-class organization that is the St. Louis baseball Cardinals," Ponturo said. "And we look forward to many, many years to come to support this great team and this great organization."

The new ballpark will open in April 2006.

Neither the Cardinals nor Anheuser-Busch have disclosed how much the brewer will pay for the naming rights.
