Jefferson City, MO – Missouri lawmakers sent legislation to the governor Monday that could mean property tax breaks for seniors and the disabled.

The legislation would essentially let property tax bills go up no more than 5%for disabled people or for those older than 64.

But tax breaks would only occur if state lawmakers send money to local governments to help those government bodies make up the lost revenue.
