St. Louis, MO – 
The road to the Summer Olympics in Greece will soon take its first detour through St. Louis.
The nation's best female marathon runners will run the Olympic trials this weekend. That race will determine who will make up the U.S. Women's Marathon team.
For some, Saturday's race will be the height of their running career. For others, it will be just the beginning. And for every woman who crosses the finish line there are many more who just missed the chance.
KWMU's Tom Weber prepared this report.
