St. Louis, MO – People created more new businesses in St. Louis County last year than any other county in Missouri.
That's according to new data from the state Economic Development Department. In all, 14,930 businesses were created statewide.
St. Louis County led the way with almost 2,493. St. Charles County and St. Louis City rank third and fifth in counties with the most new businesses last year.
St. Charles County saw 709 new businesses; the City saw 620.
