Columbia, MO – An attorney who won a half-billion dollar lawsuit against the University of Missouri says the money isn't important.
A judge ruled in favor of Robert Herman's class action lawsuit last week that accused U-M of illegally charging Missouri undergrads tuition even though a 63-year-old law says qualified youths don't have to pay tuition at state universities.
Herman says he doesn't want to bankrupt the school, but instead wants to warn other government agencies they are not above the law. University lawyers are considering whether to appeal the ruling.
