St. Louis, MO – A St. Louis police officer is hospitalized
after being shot several times in a case reportedly involving a stolen car.
Officer Robert Miller is in serious-but-stable condition and Police Chief Joe Mokwa says says Miller was shot in the back above his bullet-proof vest, and in his left arm and right hand.
Mokwa says early today Miller drove toward an alley as his partner chased two suspects on foot. At least one suspect opened fire on Miller in his squad car.
Miller managed to drive himself to the hospital.
The suspects remain at large.
