St. Louis, MO – With the approach of the holiday season, Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon is urging people who believe they've been victimized by fraudulent telemarketers to contact law enforcement authorities.
Nixon was in St. Louis Thursday to speak out against charity fraud, and to recognize the efforts of volunteers who are manning phone banks to warn senior citizens about such calls.
Phone bank organizers say the public should not be afraid to question a telemarketer's intentions as to how their donation will be spent.
