St. Louis, MO – The search continues today in St. Louis for two men suspected in a would-be bank robbery foiled by a guard one of the men fatally shot.
Police say one of the masked suspects apparently shot 25-year-old Nathan Ley twice in the head yesterday outside the Bank of America branch. Ley later died at a hospital.
Authorities say the suspects fled empty handed and that Ley's gun never left its holster. Ley worked for the security-providing Wackenhut Corporation. A Bank of America official says the branch will be closed today, and that workers there will be offered counseling.
