Cami Koons is a rural affairs reporter for Flatland KC in collaboration with Report For America. Her reporting focusses on agriculture, rural issues, cannabis and the arts. Ultimately, her goal is to help urban readers better understand their exurban neighbors. Roots in both rural Missouri and Kansas fuel her perception and understanding of life outside of the KC metro, and she's always learning more.
