The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes of Interstate 170 at Delmar next Friday, July 8, to set girders and install portions of the driving surface for the new bridge.

Lane closures will start around 7 p.m. on July 8, and all lanes will be open again by the morning rush hour on Monday, July 11.

MoDOT is urging drivers to avoid the area next weekend if possible, but the following detours will be in place:

  • Through traffic on northbound and southbound I-170 will be routed across the entrance and exit ramps.
  • Drivers on Delmar east of the bridge who want to get onto I-170 northbound will take either Hanley or North and South to Olive, and access the interstate from Olive.
  • Drivers on Delmar east of the bridge who want to get on I-170 southbound will take Hanley to Maryland (which turns into Ladue) and access the interstate from Ladue.
  • Drivers on Delmar west of the bridge who want to get onto I-170 northbound will take Price to Olive and access the interstate from Olive.
  • Drivers on Delmar west of the bridge who want to get on I-170 southbound will take Price to Ladue and access the interstate from Ladue.

The $2.1 million replacement project is scheduled to be completed Sept. 1.
